What is ancient philosophy?

Ancient philosophy refers primarily to the philosophy that originated in the beginning of the universe or the world, or in the ancient world and persisted until today. Some of the earliest thinkers in ancient philosophy were called ancient philosophers and sages or rishis. These thinkers have attained wisdom and would teach it to others or the world.
