Characterstics of Air

The characteristics of Vayu are 1. The power of sound 2. The power of rapidity 3. The power of shaking 4. The power of friction 5. The power of cutting 6. The power of pervasion and so on.
Vayu gives movement and dynamism.

Rapidity

Rapidity of movement is further classified in the order of intensity like Chalana (Movement) and Vega (speed).

Movement 

MEASUREMENT OF CHALANA DEPENDING ON INTENSITY:
3 Chalanas = 1 Vega
10 Vegas = 1 Ati Vega
10 Ati Vegas = 1 Atyanta Vega
100 Atyanta Vegas = 1 Maha Vega

Depending on specific characteristics of Vayu, it is further classified into

1. Vaham 2. Vivaham 3. Samvaham
4. Ativaham 5.Aavaham and so on.
