मर्माणि ते वर्मणा छादयामि सोमस्त्वा राजामृतेनानु वस्ताम् ।
उरोर्वरीयो वरुणस्ते कृणोतु जयन्तं त्वानु देवा मदन्तु ॥

1. O valiant warrior ! I cover your vital parts with armour.
2. May this prosperous king cover or protect you with good water and may the good commander of the army, who is a highly learned person, provide you with very good food etc.
3. May the enlightened preachers or superintendents feel delighted in your triumph over the wicked and may also keep you delighted, to discharge your duty.
