Meaning of the mantra.
Agni, self-refulgent, omnipotent master, giver of the showers of Infinity, you bring together and integrate all the elements and constituents of the universe of existence and shine in the earth-vedi fire and in the eloquence of the Voice divine of Veda. Pray bless us with the wealth, honour and excellence of life in the world.
संसमिद्युवसे वृषन्नग्ने विश्वान्यर्य आ ।
इळस्पदे समिध्यसे स नो वसून्या भर ॥

ilas padesamidhyase sa no vasunya bhara

1. “Agni, showerer (of benefits), you who are the lord, you verily combine with all creatures, you are kindled upon the footmark of Iḷā (the altar); bring unto us riches.”
2. O desireful and master agni! You mix all beings well. Lums are ignited on the yajnavedi. You give us the money.
