God has innumerable names..

According to ancient philosophy, God’s attributes, qualities and actions are infinite, God has a name corresponding to each attribute, quality and action, hence God has innumerable and infinite names.

The highest and primary name of god is Aum or om. According to the ancient philosophy and the science of vedas this name aum is the primary name of the god. It is composed of three letters, A, U, M. This one name comprises many other names of God.

Thus, briefly:- A stands for akara – the name Viraat, Agni and Vishwa, etc. .comes from (A) akara.

U stands for ukara – the name Hiranyagarbha, Vaayu and Tajjas, etc.comes from (U) ukara.

M stands for makara – The name Ishwara, Aditya and Prajnaa, etc. comes from (M) makara.
