What is the Causal World?

Causal world is a subtle world.

A “causal world” refers to a concept in ancient philosophy as the subtle realm of pure thought and ideas, the origin of creation, existing beyond the physical (matter) and astral (energy) worlds, where our true consciousness or causal body resides.

– Ancient philosophy.

What is the Causal World?

The Realm of Thought: It’s considered the most subtle, innermost level of existence, made of pure thought or “thoughtrons,” preceding energy and matter.

Source of Creation: Events in the causal world (decisions, ideas) manifest later in the astral and physical worlds, acting as the blueprint for reality.

The Causal Body: Humans have a corresponding “causal body” (mind/idea body) that veils the true Self (Atman).

Progression: It’s the highest heavenly region, a state of deep slumber or blessedness where consciousness transcends the waking physical world and dreaming astral world.

Concept of Causal World in Ancient philosophy

The concept of Causal World comes under spirituality and esotericism.

Karanmay Kosh

“Karanmay Kosh” is an ancient term used in the traditional system of the Pancha Koshas (five sheaths) as described in the ancient vedic texts, which is a foundational text in Ancient philosophy.

Pancha Koshas

The five recognized Koshas are:

Annamaya Kosha: The food sheath (physical body).

Pranamaya Kosha: The energy or vital air sheath.

Manomaya Kosha: The mind sheath, including the mind and sensory organs.

Vijnanamaya Kosha: The intellect or wisdom sheath, which includes the intellect and ego.

Anandamaya Kosha: The bliss sheath, which is the innermost and constitutes the causal body (karana sharira).

Karana Sharira

The Karana Sharira is the most subtle of the three bodies (gross, subtle, and causal) and is the repository of all potential experiences and karma, associated with the state of deep, dreamless sleep and the experience of bliss or fundamental ignorance.

“Karanmay Kosha,” is linked to the Karana Sharira (Causal Body), which is associated with the Anandamaya Kosha.
