Rig Veda 1.1.9

God hears the praises of the living beings every moment.

Just as the omnipresent God hears the praises of the living beings with love and devotion every moment, similarly, with the help of universal air, the living beings are able to pronounce and hear words.

स नः पितेव सूनवेऽग्ने सूपायनो भव । सचस्वा नः स्वस्तये ॥

This mantra has shlesha alankara or pun. The diety or the devta of the mantra is Agni; Verse is Viradgayatri; Tone is Shadjah; and the sage or Rishi of the mantra is Madhuchchhandah Vaishvamitrah.

Meaning >

As a father is ever one with his child in love, so may Agni, lord of life and light and father guardian of His creation, be ever close to us in love and benediction. Father of us all, give us the grace of life divine.

Just as the objects created by God’s power are always beautiful, similarly, the material air created by God also protects and beautifies all objects by its presence. And just as the omnipresent God hears the praises of the living beings with love and devotion every moment, similarly, with the help of material air, the living beings are able to pronounce and hear words.
